From November 28 to December 4, 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce organized the “National E-Commerce Week and Vietnam Online Shopping Day – Online Friday 2022”. This is an opportunity for e-commerce and digital technology companies to introduce products, services and solutions in the development of Vietnam’s e-commerce.

The highlight of the series of events is 60 hours of shopping (online Friday 2022) from Friday, December 2, 00:00 a.m. to Sunday, December 4, 12:00 p.m., online at https://onlinefriday.vn/. A lot of discounts, promotions on products and services are opened here.

In particular, the Center for Informatics and Digital Technology, the Department of E-Commerce and Digital Economy, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce will bring together the platform tick tock introduced the hashtag #OnlineFriday2022. With 60 million views, the program will encourage consumers to record videos to share useful shopping experiences, introduce quality products to relatives and friends, etc.

Many manufacturers reveal that online shopping day is usually the biggest promotional time of the year. In its first year in 2014, Online Friday attracted 1,000 sellers, 3,226 promotional items and more than 13,000 attendees. The total value of goods traded during the day is about VND154 billion, 2.48 times higher than on an average day of the year.

By 2021, the Online Friday event has connected 400 websites and e-commerce platforms with a total of 11 million promotional items.
