According to Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Commerce), in 2022, many kinds of Vietnamese leaves such as bamboo leaves, cassava leaves, banana leaves… will continue to be exported abroad, bringing in over 8 million USD.

Bamboo leaves have the highest export value at USD 2 million. Next comes cassava leaves at $1.8 million; Banana leaves raised $1 million.

In addition, Vietnam also exports other leaves such as sweet potato leaves, lemon leaves and many other types of leaves.

According to some traders in the fruit and vegetable industry, bamboo leaves, cassava leaves, banana leaves… are mainly exported to the East Asian markets, where many people still prefer leaves to wrap traditional cakes.
