COOPERATION FOR DEVELOPMENT

According to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Phan Van Mai, development cooperation must create a common economic space for the growth of the entire region and Ho Chi Minh City; Make the best use of the advantages of the individual towns and regions.

The promotion of cooperation and development ties between Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta provinces creates a breakthrough for the economy of each place and opens up new opportunities to attract projects from investors. Investment in Ho Chi Minh City for places in the region .

This is also a condition and opportunity for effective cooperation and implementation of Politburo Resolution No. 13 on the direction of socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Mekong Delta region to date, 2030, with a vision until 2045 . In the past, Ben Tre Province and Ho Chi Minh City have implemented many programs to help supply and demand connection and create conditions for companies to meet, learn and cooperation arrangements in production and consumption of products can sign; Assisting, advising and creating favorable conditions for Ben Tre Province goods to enter the system of wholesale markets, supermarkets, commercial centers and convenience stores of Ho Chi Minh City. Ben Tre Province companies have found dozens of sales agents in Ho Chi Minh City; signed 122 contracts, letters of intent with companies, supermarket systems, commercial centers, distributors, retail chains… in Ho Chi Minh City.

For his part, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Chairman Phan Van Mai reiterated that Ho Chi Minh City will focus on coordinating and further promoting cooperation activities with provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region .

In the field of transportation infrastructure development for transportation projects under the authority of the central government, Mr. Mai said that Ho Chi Minh City will take the initiative, coordinate with local authorities, and propose central authorities to the authorities for early implementation; Strengthening of activities to connect supply – demand, investment promotion – trade; Researched and proposed the layout of supply chain expansion sites, provincial retail goods, provincial typical products shops in Ho Chi Minh City.

Earlier, in March 2022, Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta signed an agreement on cooperation in tourism development until 2025 and launched the “Reopening of Tourism Under Conditions of the New Normal” program.

Accordingly, the tourism development cooperation agreement in the spirit of mutual support, assistance, equality and mutual development; ensure practical efficiency for the community; in which tourism companies play a crucial role in the implementation of this cooperation. The implementation of the planned content will ensure the conditions for safe adaptation to the Covid-19 epidemic in new conditions and create maximum conditions for tourism businesses to overcome difficulties, limitations and recovery due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
