Notably, only two places bordering Vietnam, Yunnan Province (population 48.0 million) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (population 48.8 million), present direct opportunities for the Vietnamese community. Vietnam leverages cross-border trade.

Vietnam and China are two complementary markets. China is Vietnam’s second largest export market after the United States.
In contrast, Vietnam remains China’s largest trading partner in ASEAN and China’s sixth largest trading partner globally after the United States, Japan, South Korea, Germany and Australia.
