According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the flow of water to hydroelectric reservoirs has tended to increase in recent days, the water level of hydroelectric reservoirs has risen. According to the mobilization, thermal power plants have been supplied with enough coal to be ready to generate electricity. Several thermal power plants encountered problems that needed to be addressed urgently. In principle, the Nordstrom system will cover the electricity demand from June 23, 2023.

Recently, in the north, at the end of the dry season, most of the major hydroelectric reservoirs in the north were below dead water level; The power transmission axis from south to center to north is always at its limit, which may cause problems. Many coal-fired power plants have reduced capacity due to technical issues related to continuous operation in persistently hot weather. The North’s power grid has faced a number of extreme situations that have severely impacted the power supply and led to a reduction in electricity loads in many places in the North.

In light of this, from May 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has continuously instructed and requested Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), Coal Industry Group – Minerals of Vietnam (TKV), and related entities take the necessary measures to ensure sufficient fuel supply for electricity generation needs. Under the consistent and close guidance of the government, the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, EVN has made many efforts to secure the power supply, so that the power supply situation has changed significantly so far. positive variable.

In recent days, the flow of water to the hydroelectric reservoirs tends to increase, the water level of the hydroelectric reservoirs has risen. According to the mobilization, thermal power plants have been supplied with enough coal to be ready to generate electricity. Several thermal power plants encountered problems that needed to be addressed urgently.

The water level of the hydroelectric reservoir in the northern region is dã improved.
The water level of the hydroelectric reservoir in the north region has been improved.

In addition, the heads of provincial people’s committees, cities, organizations, agencies, enterprises, households using electricity, etc. cooperate in implementing measures to promote electricity saving, thereby helping to ensure electricity conservation. Secure power supply in the region. Therefore, the Nordstrom system will basically cover the electricity demand from June 23, 2023.

According to calculations by the National Load Dispatch Center, the average electricity demand in July 2023 is expected to be about 832.9 million kWh/day, including 413.5 million kWh/day in the north, an increase of 5.53% over the same period in the year corresponds to 2022.

In order to be able to react proactively in unpredictable weather and to ensure the supply of electricity, the Department of Industry and Commerce is urging governments, businesses and people to continue to use electricity economically, safely and effectively. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will also continue to implement solutions, whereby EVN must focus on effectively mobilizing all resources to ensure the electricity supply.

As for the situation of hydroelectric reservoirs, the updated report of June 23 by the Ministry of Safety Engineering and Industrial Environment (Ministry of Industry and Commerce) shows that the water level in the reservoir is not high compared to June 22 in the north increased slightly; The North Central Coast, Central Highlands, Southeast and South Central Coast regions declined slightly; The water levels of the lakes on the South Central Coast and Central Highlands are within the minimum water levels required by the Operating Instructions.

As of June 23, there are still some lakes that are close to the dead water level, such as: B. Thac Ba, Ban Ve, Dong Nai 3; Some hydroelectric power stations produce electricity moderately at low flow, water level and capacity: Son La, Huoi Quang, Ban Chat, Thac Ba, Ban Ve, Thac Mo, Dong Nai 3.

The 24-hour water flow to the lakes in the northern region is forecast to increase slightly; The Central Highlands and Southeast regions vary slightly; The North Central and South Central Coast regions declined slightly at low levels.

Specifically, in the northern region, Lai Chau hydroelectric reservoir: 545 m3/s; Son La Lake: 871 m3/s; Hoa Binh Lake: 572 m3/s; Thac Ba Lake: 80 m3/s; Tuyen Quang Lake: 253 m3/s; Ban Chat Lake: 192.2 m3/s.

North-Central Region, Trung Son Lake: 124 m3/s; Drawing lake: 54 m3/s; Hua Na Lake: 28 m3/s; Binh Dien Lake: 7 m3/s; Ho Huong Dien: 52 m3/s.

Southeast Region, Lake Thac Mo: 38 m3/s; Tri-An Sea: 550 m3/s.

South central coast area, A Vuong Sea: 16 m3/s; Dakdrink Lake: 23.6 m3/s; Song Bung Lake 4: 38.5 m3/s; Song Tranh Lake 2: 33.21 m3/s; Ba Ha River Lake: 87 m3/s; Song Hinh Lake: 15 m3/s.

Central highland area, Lake Buon Kuop: 189 m3/s; Lake Buon Tua Srah: 80 m3/s; Dai Ninh Lake: 34 m3/s; Ham Thuan Lake: 75.82 m3/s; Dong Nai Lake 3: 16.13 m3/s; Ialy Lake: 401.5 m3/s; Pleikrong Lake: 29 m3/s; Sesan-4 Lake: 421 m3/s; Thuong Kon Tum Lake: 11.4 m3/s;

The Ministry of Industry and Trade would like to thank people and businesses for their dedication to the electricity industry during the past difficult period. At the same time, he wants to continue to receive participation, consensus and information from press agencies in a timely, complete and objective manner.
