Promoting connections for sustainable livestock development

According to Mr. Phan Dinh Thinh, historically, Ninh Thuan continues to maintain five chains of production links linked to the consumption of animal products in the communities. As part of the cow husbandry value chain, Hong Loan Trading Service Co., Ltd is currently upgrading and expanding the slaughter area.

The chain of raising goats and sheep for fattening is stably maintained, namely in the form of owners of processing and slaughterhouses and traders who deliver and buy back the first goats and sheep to cattle farmers up to the moment of release. With this model, the owner of a processing and slaughterhouse always has a source of goats and sheep to supply meat to the market, and the breeder has a stable job and income.

So far, Ninh Thuan has maintained a stable pig farming association model between CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company and CJ Vina Agri Co., Ltd with livestock farms. There are currently 50 pig farms in Ninh Thuan with a total herd size of over 126,300 animals. In the 44 pork processing plants with a total herd of almost 64,000 animals, the crossbreeding rate of foreign pigs is over 90%.

As for chicken breeding, Ninh Thuan currently has 9 farms affiliated with Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Emivest Company with a number of about 219,880 chickens. Ninh Thuan is associated with the high-tech model of duck meat rearing, and currently has a CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company-affiliated facility for rearing supermeat ducks with a size of 32,000 head per litter in Quang Son Township (Ninh Son District) .

In addition, Ninh Thuan still adheres to the model of combining field duck farming with the method of entrepreneurial households investing in seed and feed for farm households and then buying them back at market prices to cover costs. Invest. Local black pigs and chickens bred in Ninh Thuan are also purchased by Suoi Da Cooperative in Loi Hai Township (Thuan Bac District) and Phuoc Dai Cooperative (Bac Ai District).

At present, in the pig breeding link chain between CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company and CJ Vina Agri Co.,Ltd. mainly applied advanced science and technology and high technology to livestock, such as: cold farm design, automatic feeding and water supply system cages; Some farms use manure separators to treat livestock waste, limit biogar overload and minimize pollution.

Mr. Phan Dinh Thinh, Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sub-department of Ninh Thuan: “Most of the affiliated pig and chicken farms in Ninh Thuan Province invest in disinfection spraying system and apply animal husbandry, biosecurity, care, care and disease prevention and control become strictly controlled according to the regulations, minimizing possible epidemics.”
