The deputy prime minister stressed that this was the result of a series of synchronous and comprehensive solutions in terms of fiscal and monetary policy, supply and demand balance, etc., as well as the drastic, proactive, flexible and timely intervention of the whole system.

Apart from the results achieved, however, price management still has some issues to deal with in 2022, such as: some localities still have local fuel shortages; some content is still “blame” because the board didn’t really take the initiative; coordination between departments and branches is still erratic at times and locally; Sometimes some problems occur, but information and communication are not timely…

“Price management must closely follow the market, grasp quickly, be close to reality, measure the reaction of public opinion, etc., to find accurate and effective solutions that meet the specifics of the country, balance the interests of the state, people and businesses; organize accurate, honest and timely information and communication,” stressed the Deputy Prime Minister.

The deputy prime minister stated that some taxes would be phased out by 2023; Mid-Year Base Salary Increase; we will also launch a number of major projects; China’s policy easing against the Covid-19 epidemic, … the prices of some items may increase, especially petroleum products … will affect the country, including price management …

Based on international and domestic forecasts, the National Assembly has set an inflation target of around 4.5% in 2023, after which the pressure on the Price Management Steering Committee will not be easy.

Therefore, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai suggested that ministries, branches and municipalities should continue to promote the results achieved and the lessons learned in price management and administration in order to implement the set goals well.

In the immediate future, the Deputy Prime Minister called on ministries, branches and municipalities to strictly implement the Secretariat’s Guideline No. 19-CT/TW on the organization of the 2023 Lunar New Year and the Prime Minister’s Guideline No. 22/CT-TTg on strengthening the Measures to ensure a happy, healthy, safe and frugal welcome to Lunar New Year 2023.

In particular, it is necessary to closely monitor the developments of supply and demand, market prices, especially those subject to price stabilization, essential goods and services with high demand at the end of the year, in order to take the initiative or competently propose projects administrative measures to ensuring the balance between supply and demand, stabilizing the market and preventing commodity shortages or disruption in commodity sources from causing sudden price increases.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Transport provides for the management of passenger transportation services during the Lunar New Year to create favorable conditions for people’s travel, especially for workers who are far from home to return to their hometown to travel Essen Le Minh Khai proposed to the Ministry of Transport to strengthen the inspection and strict supervision of the declaration and listing of prices and the sale of tickets at the correct listing prices for transport business units; ensure the balance of interests between people and companies; Strictly treating acts of exploiting people’s increased travel demand during the Tet holiday to increase ticket prices is unreasonable and illegal.

The Ministry of Finance promptly proposed exporting national reserve goods to the right people to ensure social security, especially in areas where natural disasters, storms, floods, etc. prevent people during the Lunar New Year and the preparation for starvation period.

In terms of tax policy, the Ministry of Finance reviews expiring taxes to recommend appropriate solutions to relevant authorities for early decision.

The deputy prime minister called on the state bank to manage monetary policy according to the set targets, coordinate with fiscal policy and other policies to help stabilize the macro economy, control inflation and ensure economic security.

For government-priced goods, public services implement the market roadmap, ministries, sectors and municipalities closely monitor the reality, proactively calculate and assess the impact, prepare appropriate measures, prepare projects, propose relevant authorities, decide in due time, ensure effectiveness , longevity and sustainability.

For certain commodities, ministries, industries and municipalities organize and monitor the supply and demand situation and market prices for commodities under their respective leadership in order to take appropriate adjustment measures.

Proactively forecast and have a plan to ensure supply and demand balance, especially during periods of high market demand for key commodities such as petroleum, building materials, food and nutrition, agricultural materials, transportation services, etc.

The Deputy Prime Minister encouraged ministries, sectors and municipalities, in accordance with their assigned functions and tasks, to use instruments and measures for price regulation flexibly and effectively in accordance with the price law in order to control and stabilize prices. Effective use and monitoring of the implementation of measures to declare prices, list prices and publish price information; organize the control and verification of compliance with price law and take strict action against price violations.

The Deputy Prime Minister called on the Ministry of Information and Communications to coordinate with other ministries and sectors to continue to proactively promote communication and ensure timely and transparent price information, especially when there are unusual fluctuations in the prices of essential goods related to production and the lives of people occur.

The standing body and Steering Committee members continue to promote a sense of responsibility, follow the work closely, advise and continue to propose to the Steering Committee to advise the Prime Minister on effective and situational management solutions and contribute to the successful implementation of the socio-economic goals set in 2023.
