In the 2022-2023 winter-spring rice harvest, the entire Hau Giang Province has sown 73,352 hectares. At present, the rice is mainly in the tillering and tillering stage. The density is expected to be higher than the same period in recent years due to the favorable conditions of this year’s winter-spring harvest for leafhoppers, which are causing severe damage to rice.
Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen regular site visits, conduct training for farmers on the situation of harmful organisms at each stage, and provide guidance on timely and highly effective prevention and treatment. Particular attention should be paid to areas where high-quality aromatic rice varieties are grown, such as OM5451, RVT, Dai Thom 8, ST 24, ST 25…
