In particular, the management of the border guard force in close coordination with the functional forces of the relevant ministries, branches and local authorities to combat, prevent and deal with cases of trafficking and transport of goods, buffalo and cows of unknown origin, without quarantine by the veterinary authorities at the Border lines, border gates, trails and openings.
At the same time, directing and guiding units throughout the army to organize information and propaganda to raise awareness of border residents about epidemic prevention, trade fraud and illegal transportation. Coordinate and assist in dealing with the number of buffalo and cows that are illegally transported and forced to kill to prevent the spread of disease and ensure food safety.
On the same day, Jan. 6, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also sent a written request to the Ministry of Public Security to coordinate to strengthen control and prevent the illegal transportation of buffalo and cows across the border .
Accordingly, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development proposed to the Ministry of Public Security to order the police to coordinate and prevent the fight with the functional forces of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and local authorities that cases of trafficking and transport of buffalo and cows of unknown origin are handled without quarantine by the veterinary authorities.
At the same time, instruct the police to set up a special project to crack down on subjects transporting and trafficking smuggled buffalo and cows across the border; Coordinating and assisting in dealing with the amount of buffalo and cows that are illegally transported and forced to be killed to prevent the spread of disease and ensure food safety.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien, when reporting on the problem of cattle and buffalo smuggling at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on December 30, 2022, stated that the ministry fully understood The local veterinary system, especially in the three central provinces, must closely monitor and inspect, and send documents to Laos, Cambodia and Thailand to coordinate the inspection.
