This machine is also used by many farmers for weeding orchards and spreading shoots in acacia fields, reducing labor, lowering production costs and increasing income.

In the fields of Hoa My Tay and Hoa My Dong Townships (Tay Hoa District, Phu Yen), many farmers are now using a “5 in 1” machine, which is very convenient.

Mr. Bui Van Hung, farmer in Hoa My Tay commune, said: Farmers used to have to carry baskets of rice seeds to scatter them during sowing, now they just have to pour the seeds into the motorized hopper with the machine on their backs worn, the machine sprays like… Holding the basket, hand-spreading is sometimes clumsy, sometimes light-footed, the rice is scattered unevenly, thickly and sparsely, and the machine sprays evenly.

According to Mr. Hung, this machine can also be used to spray fertilizer. If you want to be thick or thin, you can more or less adjust the reed part at the junction between the plastic container. “In the field of almost 1 hectare, I only waded in the field 3 ways, but when I slap my hand, the range of my hands is limited, so I have to go back and forth 6 ways.

Each foot wades in the seed field and loses a lot of rice seed, which later takes time to transplant. And with mechanical spraying, the fertilizer is applied evenly, unlike in the past, when applying by hand, the heavy hand is green, the light one yellow. This machine is powerful, when you spray fertilizer, the field is 10m wide, you can walk on both sides to spray each other, you don’t have to wade through the field,” said Hung.

Mr. Phan Van Binh in Hoa My Dong Township explained: Only for the spraying function, in addition to spraying fertilizer, seeding fields and pumping pesticides, the machine can also spray lime to improve the soil. This machine helps farmers greatly reduce costs and labor, so everyone from the plains to the mountains likes to use it because of its compactness and convenience.

Mr. Dao Van Roa, deputy chief of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tay Hoa District, said: Previously, the provincial agricultural advisory center invested and supported multi-purpose machines for some households, the purpose of the model was to promote the application of mechanization, synchronized with the production stage for rice. After seeing the effect, farmers increasingly applied it because it was suitable for local agricultural production conditions. The use of this versatile machine also helps to increase labor productivity, speed up progress in agriculture and solve the current labor shortage.

According to Mr. Phan Van Tri, a farmer in Da Loc Township (Dong Xuan District), in the injection phase, this machine not only sprays the rice fields below, but also “climbs up” by connecting the spray tube to the plants feed high fruit like mango, plum… very effective. With a “5-in-1” machine, ie a machine to which many functions can be attached (attaching a sprayer, a lawn mower, spreading buds), farmers take the initiative to take care of their crops.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang, director of the Phu Yen Provincial Rural Development Subdepartment, said that the Phu Yen Provincial People’s Committee has just issued a strategic plan for the development of agricultural mechanization by 2030. The aim is to ensure productivity, quality and profitability of agricultural production.
