The Inter-Ministry of Finance – Industry and Trade has just adjusted the retail price of gasoline in today’s adjustment period (February 13). Valid from 13:30 on February 13th.
The operating company decided to increase VND 540 per liter of gasoline E5 RON 92, while the price of gasoline RON 95 increased by VND 620 / liter. After the adjustment, the maximum selling price for E5 RON 92 petrol is VND 22,860/litre and for RON 95 petrol is VND 23,760/litre.

Meanwhile, oil prices also continued to fall, more than gasoline prices. Diesel oil in particular fell by VND 960/litre to VND 21,560/litre.
Therefore, the price of domestic gasoline products continues to rise. Since the beginning of the year, gasoline has undergone 5 price adjustments, 4 of which have increased and 1 of which have remained unchanged.
In the current period of operation, the Inter-Ministry of Industry, Trade and Finance has not made any payments to the Stabilization Fund and has issued RON 92 and RON 95 for E5 gasoline from this fund.
However, the inter-ministerial department has set up a price stabilization fund for diesel oil at VND 600/liter and for kerosene at VND 200/liter; Fuel oil at 200 VND/kg.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade is currently collecting opinions on the amendment of Decree 83/ND-CP and Decree 95/ND-CP on trade in petroleum and oil. The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to urgently submit to the government a draft decree amending and supplementing Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP on trade in petroleum and submit oil.
One of the most notable changes is that it is proposed to revise the operational time between the two periods to reduce the time for fuel price delivery/announcement from 10 days (as currently) to 7 days. 1 specific day of the week.
According to the draft, the time for regulating gasoline prices is every Thursday, excluding holidays (except in cases that coincide with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd day of the first lunar month of the Lunar New Year). If a Thursday falls on the days from the 1st to the 3rd of the 1st lunar month, the operating period is shifted to the 4th day of the 1st lunar month.
