The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province recently issued a resolution on the implementation of an action plan to promote the application of integrated plant health management (IPHM) to main crops and key crops in the province in 2023-2030.

Accordingly, Khanh Hoa Province has set a target that by 2030 over 70% of communities will have a core group of farmers who have the knowledge, skills and effective use of IPHM and are able to mentor other farmers on the use of IPHM, assess effectiveness and disseminate results to the community.

Also, strive for more than 80% of rice, vegetable and fruit trees to apply IPHM. 70% of the province’s key crops for agricultural restructuring have applied IPHM, reducing the amount of pesticides and chemical fertilizers by 30%; Over 90% of municipalities collect pesticide packaging after use according to regulations…

The IPHM application aims to proactively prevent crop pests, reduce input costs, reduce toxic chemicals, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase productivity, product quality and production efficiency, ensure food safety, protect the environment and adapt to climate change…
