Previously, this pair of border gates was officially cleared again from January 8, 2023, but only allowed Vietnamese and Chinese nationals to return home after being stuck for a while due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The departure of Chinese tourists in groups has not yet been implemented, according to the announcement by the office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China on the pilot resumption of tour operators who are allowed to organize trips to several countries for Chinese citizens in departure groups.
