On the afternoon of August 30, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huyen, deputy director of the department of e-commerce and digital economy of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, said at the trade promotion conference, which links the consumption of Phuc Trach Pomelo was and is a series of events that connect e-commerce for businesses and business households in the communities.
Through training programs, knowledge dissemination and e-commerce applications, Ms. Huyen believes that agricultural products are being distributed through e-commerce channels in 40 provinces and cities.
According to the 2022 E-Commerce Index Report, Ha Tinh’s E-Commerce Index is currently ranked 39/56 nationwide. This shows that Ha Tinh’s e-commerce still has a lot of scope to accelerate the digital transformation process, expand modern sales channels, and enhance the value of agricultural products and specialties of the province, including pomelos.
Currently, e-commerce transactions in Ha Tinh are very popular and actively used by both manufacturers, merchants and consumers. According to the Ha Tinh Ministry of Industry and Commerce, many companies have registered websites to provide e-commerce services and engage in providing products, goods, support and information directly to consumers via the Internet.

Phuc Trach Pomelo has been granted a certificate of geographical origin for the product “Grapefruit” in 19 townships of Huong Khe District, Ha Tinh Province by the National Office of Intellectual Property. This is also one of 39 Geographical Indications of Vietnam that the EU has committed to protecting from 1 August 2020.
Mr. Ngo Xuan Ninh, chairman of the Huong Khe District People’s Committee, said that the total area of pomelo grown in 19 townships in the Phuc Trach Pomelo geographical indication area is 2,714 hectares, the total production of the 2022 crop year is over 23,000 tons .
The entire district has 122 cooperative groups covering an area of 730 ha, which are produced according to VietGAP standards; 1 cooperative group produces Phuc Trach pomelo (6.5 ha) that meets GlobalGAP standards and a number of models are being developed towards organic.
Through the conference on the afternoon of August 30, companies, cooperatives, cooperative groups and pomelo farmers in Huong Khe in particular and Ha Tinh in general hope that consumers across the country will know more about pomelos. This gives the community an opportunity to find business partners and expand the pomelo consumption market.
Currently, Phuc Trach Pomelo is present in many major distribution systems in Hanoi, Quang Ninh and some other major cities. Huong Khe companies and cooperatives actively promote the export of grapefruit to demanding markets such as the EU, Japan and the USA.
As of 2021, Ha Tinh Provincial People’s Committee, Ha Tinh Ministry of Industry and Commerce have coordinated with Ministry of E-Commerce and Digital Economy to build Phuc Trach Grapefruit stalls on many major e-commerce platforms .
