According to Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien, vice chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, the province aims to spread and promote 100% of agricultural cooperatives in the region by 2025 to raise awareness of climate change and adaptation measures. Responding to climate change in the production, trade, processing and conservation of agricultural and aquatic products; Construction of 5 models of agricultural cooperatives applying effective climate change adaptation measures for research, study and replication purposes.

In view of a series of tasks to implement the plan, the Dong Thap Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will educate and train a team of experts, consultants and community advisors to guide agricultural cooperatives and cooperative members in the effective application of measures to adapt to the Climate to support change in agricultural production and business operations.

At the same time, the Dong Thap Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, provincial departments, branches and county people’s committees at all levels are supporting cooperatives in the application of high technology in the production and consumption of agricultural products. In particular, the focus is on the group of agricultural products, the production of which is planned in the direction of high-tech application, to ensure the improvement of the value and quality of agricultural products, the closed value chain of agricultural products of the related agricultural cooperatives development of agricultural cooperatives. OCOP products, agricultural and rural tourism, climate change adaptation models.
